Born and raised an Army brat, I have lived in so many different places over the years, it’s hard for me to count. Perhaps this is the genesis of my intense desire to see the world and live life to the fullest, i.e., support the philosophy of the Life Bus. To date, I have traveled to roughly 35 countries and countless states in the USA. I am fortunate to have a career that has allowed me to travel extensively either because of an assignment, or because of a ridiculous amount of frequent flyer points I have racked up from long term projects in hotspots such as, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, New Jersey and Kansas. I say that in jest, but each of these ‘hotspots’ have provided me with adventures in the most unusual ways. In fact, I view life as one big adventure and hope to convey this message through this blog.
If you see an opportunity to experience something new, the Life Bus mentality should tell you to DO IT. My range of Life Bus experiences include camping in a tent in the middle of the Himalayas to slumming it in a Four Seasons in Hawaii. My travel preferences seem to ebb and flow depending on my state of mind or how many frequent flyer points I have banked. I love big cities, road trips, small country towns, mountains, backpacking, cross country skiing, beaches, remote campsites, treks of any length, sunsets, huts, luxe accommodations, and Disney. I have traveled solo, on guided tours and with my best friends, each trip bringing it’s own set of challenges, learnings and immense joy. My goal is to experience as much as I can while I still have my physical health and mental wits about me to make it enjoyable and to be able to tell the story without drooling.
Other things about me….
- I am an avid amateur photographer and enjoy sharing my experiences through my images
- I don’t understand vacation hoarders
- I am an animal lover
- I have a thing for shoes and purses
- Wish I could sing but unfortunately, not in the cards
Nice site, you completely undersold it on the plane. May your bus never get a flat and may you continue to pick up many friends along your journey.
Sean – you are an AMAZING soul and an inspiration to everyone who crosses your path! Thanks for taking the time to check out the site – very much appreciated!
You are a rock star and have inspired so many times over the 13+ years I have known you! I am so excited to read your blog. I love hearing about your adventures because, as you know, for now I live vicariously through you! While my wee ones are still wee ones, this blog will suffice. Be prepared though, once they have grown a bit, I will be joining you in real life! Although, I can pretty much guarantee it will only be on the travels that include indoor plumbing and heat or air conditioning! Best of luck and God bless you, dear friend, on this, your latest exciting adventure!
MT – THANK YOU so much for the kind words! I can’t wait for you to join me in real life – love you girl!
Missing you guys and hoping the Everest trek went well? I the meantime I have nominated you for a Liebster award. Totally up to you if you want to play. Go to http://sueannm66.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/liebster-means-dearest/ for more information.
Good morning … thanks so much. It is so kind of you to say that you have been missing us. Pam made it back safe and happy from her Everest trek and Todd and I had a great 2 weeks in Belize. Both Pam and I have so much to write about our trips … things have been just a tad hectic so … stay tuned. The Life Bus is still rolling. Thank you so much for your kind award. We are honored to accept it. Have a wonderful day.
Glad to hear you’re both OK. My blog has also been quiet after 6 weeks of school holiday fun. Looking forward to hearing about your trips! S
