If you have ever been to Kathmandu, Nepal, you know how many things there are to see – it’s easy to get lost in the details. The images below include two boys we encountered on the way to the Everest Base Camp – you can see the rays of light shining down and their runny noses! The second is a view of the Valley below from a helicopter ride from Lukla to Kathmandu. The third, is a street view in Thamel. Every day I walked the same street in Thamel, I saw something new. What a unique and incredible place!

I love all three photos. I would put the first and third on my wall.
Thank you so much! Coincidentally, I just had those 2 ordered and they are hanging on my wall!

Brilliant, all three!
Thanks lady! The first one was taken with my iphone…not sure why I schlep my 5 lb DSLR/lens around! Have a good weekend!
Do you use some app? Mine don’t turn out that good, I am still in the process of getting used to my Iphone and haven’t quite gotten to like it yet 😀
I don’t use an app to take the photo but, I do use Snapseed quite often to edit. If you don’t have that yet, you should – it’s a great app and super easy to use!
Great photographs, but i especially love the vibrant colours of the last one!
Thanks much! On a side note, I spent 2 weeks in Portugal in the fall. Absolutely loved it. What an amazing country!
Each depicts the idea of “details” in such a wonderfully different way — nicely done ~ Kat
Thanks Kat!!
Love the Valley pics— not the sad kids but great shots in Thamel.
Thanks! You would be surprised, I did not find any of the kids sad in Nepal. They are just different – they play with pigeons and sticks and stuff ;-). They seem to be content!
I’m sure thos valleys have been farmed for hundreds of years! Nice photos.
You are soooo right Peter! It was really beautiful to see. I wonder what life is like out there in the dead of winter?!
